Automation Framework Developer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Framework Developer to join our team. This role involves designing and building scalable automation frameworks, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring end-to-end automation coverage for UI, API, and backend systems.

This position requires strong coding skills in Java and expertise in automation framework design and development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and API automation using REST Assured, Postman, Swagger.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, building and implementing scalable test automation libraries and utilities, automating testing for web, API, and backend services, and collaborating closely with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, and REST Assured.
  • Build and implement scalable test automation libraries and utilities.
  • Automate testing for web, API, and backend services.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation scripts.
  • Ensure test coverage, maintain test documentation, and provide automation strategy input.
  • Drive best practices in test automation across the team.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on automation and coding practices.
  • Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong coding experience in Java (mandatory).
  • Expertise in automation framework design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.
  • API automation experience using REST Assured, Postman, Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Good to Have:
  • Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes for test environments.
  • Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
