Job Summary

  • Database Performance Expert

We are seeking a skilled Database Performance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our database operations group, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Operations: Support database operations including performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, access management, and database analysis.
  • Performance Issues: Investigate and resolve performance issues in Oracle databases.
  • Data Retention: Monitor data retention and ensure optimal storage usage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data analysts, and database owners to support short-term work requests and long-term strategy implementation.

Technical Requirements

  • Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers) and proficient in reading Query Execution Plans.
  • Database Management: Manage database objects like table space, users, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, and synonyms.
  • Performance Tuning: Expertise in Oracle architecture and proficiency in performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience.
  • Skills: Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication skills, self-motivated, and works well in a team environment.
