Job Title:

Azure Lead MS-SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA to spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement highly available, performant, and secure Microsoft SQL Server databases in the Azure cloud environment.
  2. Provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
  3. Maintain and optimize database performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, and Query Store.
  4. Develop and implement HA/DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
  5. Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).

  • Upgrade, Migration, Encryption of MS-SQL Instances
  • Must have 8+yrs working on Azure MS-SQL database
  • Candidate should be working as Lead Admin and working as single point of contacts for all the Azure and on-prem MS-SQL Database and Cloud Admin activities
  • Experience in designing and architecture of Public cloud such as Oracle OCI or Azure- Hands-on experience with Managing Oracle OCI or Azure VM, Network and Security
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI)
