Splunk Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Splunk infrastructure, ensuring efficient deployment and maintenance across various platforms. This includes setting up and maintaining Indexers, Search Heads, Deployment Servers, Heavy Forwarders, and Universal Forwarders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a standardized framework for Splunk Forwarder deployments, configurations, and maintenance across multiple UNIX and Windows environments.
- Troubleshoot Splunk server and Forwarder problems and issues.
- Develop production-quality Dashboards using Splunk's data analytics capabilities.
- Expertise in parsing, indexing, searching concepts including Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing.
- Utilize regex commands to extract fields from log files.
- Manage Actuate Reports, including development, deployment, management, and performance tuning.
- Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization, and support Splunk on Linux and Windows-based platforms.
Qualifications
- Certifications (desired): Splunk Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Admin
Required Skills
- Experience with MongoDB and Docker services.
- Proficiency in Python and creating customized scripts.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics.
