Our organization seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Director Intern to contribute to the development of a high-impact documentary film project.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Director to assist in pre-production, production, and post-production activities, focusing on script development, research, and creative coordination.
This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong narrative craft and creative execution skills, as well as experience in scriptwriting, research, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Director in day-to-day project tasks, including scheduling, shot lists, and logistics.
- Develop English-language scripts, treatments, and narrative structures with attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough research on Space initiatives, history, and related topics to enhance the documentary's credibility.
- Coordinate with the production team for smooth execution of the project plan.
- Translate finalized English scripts into Hindi, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
- Provide creative input for visuals, graphics, and storyboarding to elevate the documentary's impact.
- Ensure alignment between the script and the visual storytelling approach to create a cohesive narrative.
- Film school student or recent graduate with a passion for scientific films.
- Strong command of English writing, with experience in script, narrative, and research synthesis.
- Knowledge of documentary filmmaking and/or government/educational films is an asset.
- Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to dynamic production needs.
- Curious, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual who can contribute to a high-performing team.
- Hands-on experience working on a national-level film project.
- Mentorship under an experienced Director working on government assignments.
