Cyber Security Operations and Incident Response Professional

Key responsibilities of the job include reviewing proposed change requests to rules or policies for firewalls, router access control lists, IPS and proxies.

The role involves performing regular reviews or audits of deployed rule sets to identify drift from baseline.

Performing real-time security monitoring for potential cybersecurity threats is also a key responsibility.

Analysts will be required to analyze alerts and coordinate responses with senior analysts.

Triage of potential security incidents in accordance with SOC case handling procedures, alert handling procedures, and customer-specific procedures is also an essential part of the role.

Additionally, the role involves performing continuous improvements on services by identifying and correcting problems and gaps in knowledge and document materials.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP is required.
  • Network, CCNA, SIEM, Security are also required qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of network security technologies including firewalls, network IDS/IPS solutions, network monitoring solutions, switch/router ACLs, network access control solutions, web application firewalls, proxy servers and secure web gateway is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies is also required.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems, Shell/Bash/Python programming skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and 3+ years professional experience working with enterprise network solutions are also necessary.
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or Network+ certification is required.
