Network Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, assessing rack requirements, mounting access points, and managing the installation and pre-configuration of network devices, including Meraki routers, switches, and access points.

The Network Engineer will also oversee the production cutover to ensure a seamless transition, minimizing downtime and disruption. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a real impact in the field of networking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Technology Management: The ideal candidate will have experience in managing network technologies, including routing, switching, network policy management, and network security policy management.
  • Site Survey and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive site surveys to evaluate current network infrastructure and assess rack space, power requirements, and environmental conditions for network device installation.
  • Rack and Device Installation: Determine and document rack requirements for network devices and mount access points and network devices in racks according to best practices.
  • Pre-Configuration and Setup: Pre-configure Meraki routers, switches, and access points based on network design specifications and test and validate device configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Production Cutover: Plan and execute the production cutover process, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new network infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with network device installation, configuration, and management.
  • Expertise in Meraki routers, switches, and access points.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
