GRC Consultant Role

As a key member of our team, the GRC Consultant will play a vital role in implementing GRC systems for clients. This involves ensuring policy compliance, security requirements governance, and risk management.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of risk management, security, and privacy practices, as well as excellent communication skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and participate in client initiatives to reduce technology risk, improve governance, and ensure compliance with policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to inform decision-making.
  • Design and implement IT security standards, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and enhance client security posture.
  • Assess information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environments.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing clients' information security postures, as well as Legal, Regulatory, and Scheme security requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, as well as incident management disciplines.
  • Perform internal and external information security risk and exception assessments, evaluating incidents, vulnerability management, scans, patching status, secure baselines, penetration test results, phishing, and social engineering tests and attacks.
  • Document control failures and gaps, providing remediation guidance and preparing management reports to track remediation activities.
  • Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned based on business requirements.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal qualifications include CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
  • Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
