Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software systems by creating and executing test cases.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Test new system software versions using automated testing tools, including functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance, and regression testing.
  • Create, maintain, and update test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.
  • Reporting and managing software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project teams to discuss issues and report on testing status.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards and policies.
  • Provide estimates to help QA management plan an accurate schedule.
  • Support Product Management group in testing various business scenarios and verifying functionality.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced financial market data environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High motivation level and attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with fixed income and/or derivatives markets is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and Test Case Management Tools.
  • Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to ensure quality.
  • Ability to create new test cases based on requirements documents and guidance from Product and Development teams.
  • Translate existing manual regression test cases into automated UFT tests.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++) is advantageous.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of general Quality Assurance experience with complex trading and/or risk management systems in the financial industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with UFT.
