Primary Years Programme Coordinator Opportunity

Lead the implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at a renowned educational institution.

This unique role requires a seasoned leader who can foster an engaging, student-centered environment and work closely with teachers, students, and parents to promote the principles of the IB framework.

  • Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP and cultivate a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Guide and support teachers in designing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Organize professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Promote understanding of the PYP among parents and the school community.
  • Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements.
  • Stay updated with IB developments and changes to ensure the school's adherence to IB standards.
  • Foster collaboration between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Develop and implement the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.

Professional Development: Organize professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.

Community Engagement: Promote understanding of the PYP among parents and the school community.

Requirements:

Qualifications: A Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field and IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.

Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Leadership: Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth.
