We are a leading renewable energy developer with a strong presence in India, boasting an impressive portfolio of wind, solar, and hybrid projects. Our team of experts provides comprehensive services encompassing development, construction, operation, and maintenance.

Our portfolio includes 48 projects spread across four states, totaling approximately 10,069 MWp as of May 31, 2025.

About the position

This role is designed to oversee land acquisition activities for our wind projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Development, you will be responsible for creating a land pool and pipeline for our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project development activities and collaborate with various departments for land acquisition and related tasks.
  • Identify suitable developers/aggregators for wind energy projects, focusing on primary states.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant statutes and regulations regarding land, forest, and other approvals.
  • Risk assessment and recommendation of mitigation plans in land acquisition.
  • Lead legal due diligence and documentation, ensuring clear and marketable title of potential lands before acquisition.
  • Participate in drafting, finalization, and execution of Sale/Lease Deeds and such agreements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless land acquisition for wind energy projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Interact with local agencies and stakeholders for smooth land acquisition and usage until commissioning.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to land acquisition and usage across pan-India locations.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders for successful project implementation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in land acquisition involving revenue/private/forest land, site exploration, valuation reports, and negotiations.
  • A minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in land procurement/acquisition for wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team member, cross-functional team, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes, including procurement, leasing, easement, etc., for renewable power projects.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills for executing land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
