Job Title: Process Development Specialist

This role requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in process engineering.

  • Serves as an expert within own function and discipline, interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop processes for timely completion of projects, adhering to quality systems and working instructions.
  2. Oversee work progress, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective collaboration with clients.
  3. Maintain long-term relationships with clients, addressing their feedback and complaints.
  4. Review technical requirements of client specifications, ensuring agreement is reached on design basis and participating in discussions with the client.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of process calculations, including heat & mass balance, utility sizing, and simulation software's like HYSYS and ASPEN.
  • Ability to prepare Pharma Process Equipment data sheets and perform relief load and PSV calculations.
  • Experience in creating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, and WHO.
  • Knowledge of equipment selection criteria like Fermentation, Bioreactors, TFF, Chromatography, Filling Lines, etc.
