Job Opportunity: Steel and Metal Furniture Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping innovative steel furniture products.

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and team collaboration skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative steel furniture products using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and feasible for production.
  • Perform structural analysis of steel furniture to ensure durability and stability.
  • Conduct research on trends in furniture design and material innovation.
  • Develop prototypes for testing and modify designs based on feedback.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and company specifications.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for production, assembly, and materials.
  • Work with the marketing team to understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation and design presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the steel furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of material properties, particularly steel and other metals.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for steel furniture (welding, cutting, bending, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
