High-Performance Computing Systems Expert

As an HPC Systems Professional, you will be responsible for the administration of high-performance computing and virtual desktop infrastructure clusters.
You will also be responsible for managing user accounts for cluster onboarding and offboarding. This includes creating and maintaining AMI images in Amazon Machine Images accounts, installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems on clusters.
In addition, you will support critical components and native services of the platform by coordinating with respective providers such as AWS Resource Services, CycleCloud, and Parallel Cluster.
Other key responsibilities include managing Active Directory support and management, performing continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components, conducting regular audits, sharing findings, and implementing corrective actions as required.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with other teams like the v-drive team in testing and migrating/installing engineering applications to the platform.
Your duties will also include managing job schedulers such as Slurm or Load Sharing Facility, utilizing node provisioning tools like Werewolf, troubleshooting system issues, and providing technical support to users.
Lastly, you will monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation of the HPC environment.
