Job Title: Vernacular Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Vernacular Outreach Coordinator. This position involves translating content from English to Hindi for various platforms.

  • Translation: Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for our website, social media, news releases, media statements, newsletters, video scripts, billboards, leaflets, letters, demonstration materials, and other outreach materials.

The ideal candidate will have minimum two years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi, strong coordination skills, excellent language skills, and proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi.
  2. Coordinate with freelance translators and proofreaders working in other Indian languages.
  3. Assist in managing and maintaining our Hindi website.
  4. Support content development and management of our Hindi Facebook page.
  5. Collaborate with the Online and Campaigns teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives.
  6. Stay informed about our ongoing and upcoming campaigns.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum two (2) years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi.
  2. Strong coordination skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of freelance translators.
  3. Excellent translation skill from English to Hindi and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
  4. Strong understanding of social media trends and engagement practices.
  5. Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.
  6. Strong time-management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
