Job Title: IT Application Manager

Location: BITS Campus

Experience Required: 15 years

Reporting To: Director - IT Operations

Role Overview:

The IT application manager will oversee the development, implementation and operation of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at the BITS campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization and issue resolution.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability and security of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
  • Act as primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives including training and support.
  • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation and compliance with IT policies.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching learning and operations.
  • Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
  • Manage vendor relationships negotiate contracts/SLAs and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive seamless integration of CRM SIS LMS ERP HRMS and other systems.
  • Ensure data integrity consistency and accessibility across platforms.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy cybersecurity and higher education regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline Master's preferred.
  • Around 15 years progressive experience in IT application management ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM ERP Finance HR SIS LMS Library Management and related systems.
  • Strong experience in application integration vendor management and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance and digital transformation best practices.
