Design Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team in conducting Design For Manufacturing (DFM) analysis in PCBA and fabrication analysis in PCB.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Conduct DFM analysis in PCBA and fabrication analysis in PCB to ensure the manufacturability of products.

  • Analyze testability and generate Design for Test (DFT) reports.

  • Simulate mechanical assembly processes and create Design for Assembly (DFA) reports.

  • Develop DFx procedures and checklists as per customer requirements.

  • Generate DFx reports according to findings, observations, and standards.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing teams to define DFx requirements and rules.

  • Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.

  • Timely generation and circulation of DFx Reports to stakeholders.

  • Mentor the team and guide them towards effective deliverables.

  • Train new and existing team members on relevant software and tools.

  • Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.

  • Prepare KPI Reports for Weekly/Monthly for operation review.

  • Skilled in PCBA process, including stencil, solder paste printing, SMT, wave-soldering, assembly, and box build.

  • Excellent knowledge of IPC standards.

  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication process, PCB layers, PCB design, and electronics component packages at all levels.

  • Able to develop DFx procedures and checklists.

  • Knowledge of PCBA test development process, including ICT, FCT, and Flying Probe Test.

  • Familiarity with DFx tools and hands-on experience in DFM module software such as Vayopro, Valor NPI, Solidworks, etc.

  • Ability to work with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and processes.

  • Knowledge and direct experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) operations and manufacturing engineering.

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

  • Experience with Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Collaboration with other engineering team members to improve existing designs or processes.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-7 years' experience in DFx methodologies, PCBA DFM process, DFT, and DFA analysis.

  • B.Tech (Electronics/Electrical), Diploma (Electronics/Electrical).

The ideal candidate should also possess excellent written and oral communication skills, good analytical skills, coaching and mentoring skills, conflict resolution skills, reporting, and decision-making skills.
