Job Opportunity: Civil and Structural Wind Turbine Foundation Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, analyze, and optimize wind turbine generator foundations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of these foundations under various loads, including gravity, wind, seismic, and fatigue loads.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with expertise in foundation design, geotechnical risk assessment, hydrology, seismic analysis, and relevant building codes.

  • Design and optimize various types of WTG foundations, including gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, shallow mat, ribbed beam, and others.
  • Perform structural load calculations using industry-standard software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, and PLAXIS 2D/3D.
  • Select and validate construction materials for efficiency and sustainability.
  • Prepare and review design basis reports, BOQs, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, hydrology, BoP, electrical, and CTS teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support certification processes with external agencies and identify risks to implement mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization) or Master's in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of experience in the Power & Utilities sector with a focus on renewable energy foundations.
  • Expertise in WTG foundation design, geotechnical risk assessment, hydrology, seismic analysis, and civil design codes (BIS, ASCE, AISC, Eurocode, etc.).
  • Proficiency in software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, and PLAXIS 2D/3D.
