We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to drive the technical operations of our AWS Managed Services team. The successful candidate will own and manage incident response, problem management, change implementation, patch management, backup/recovery, and cost optimization for customer environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and driving incident response, problem management, change implementation, patch management, backup/recovery, and cost optimization for customer environments.
  • Providing escalation support, performing root cause analysis, and guiding L1/L2 support teams.
  • Conducting regular operational reviews and service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the Cloud Architecture and DevOps teams for environment enhancements, automation, and adherence to best practices.
  • Designing and reviewing monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboard configurations.
  • Maintaining compliance and security baselines as per customer and regulatory policies.
  • Participating in customer meetings and providing technical guidance for ongoing support and upgrades.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills across Linux/Windows OS, networking (VPC, subnets, NACLs, security groups), and storage.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes – incident, change, and problem management.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
  • Familiarity with backup solutions, patch management, and cloud cost governance.
