Job Title: Senior AI Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to join our team in shaping the technical infrastructure and product success of our business. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a leading part in developing cutting-edge intelligent solutions that are revolutionising operational pipelines for the waste industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. ML Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust pipelines for processing image and video data, running ML model inferences, and serving results efficiently.
2. AI/ML Infrastructure: Architect, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure for data storage, model deployment (CI/CD), and inference serving on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
3. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with frontend and product teams to design and implement backend services and APIs that power responsive, data-driven UI experiences.
4. Backend Support: Manage databases, implement background task processing and access control.
5. System Operations: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; manage secrets securely; ensure system scalability and stability through automated deployments and rollbacks.

Requirements include:
1. 5+ years of proven experience in MLOps, AI/ML Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or a related Backend Engineering role.
2. Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and deep experience with ML frameworks.
3. Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD practices, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
