Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end procurement of electrical items, ensuring the right products are sourced at the right cost, on time, and as per technical requirements.

The role demands strong vendor management, negotiation, and technical understanding of electrical materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiation and Price Comparison: Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Purchase Alignment: Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.
  • Vendor Audits and Development: Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits for quality assurance.
  • Dispatch and Tracking: Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Procurement Records: Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).
  • Budget Compliance: Ensure purchases are made within budget and in compliance with company procurement guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
