Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for managing software testing for Wabtec's Digital Intelligence Network Operations Terminal suite of products. This includes Movement Planner, Yard Planner, and PDS 2. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of management, software testing methodologies, best practices, and proven processes to deliver a quality software product on budget, within planned schedule with superb quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of software test engineers to focus on system level testing for the Terminal suite of products.
  • Develop and implement test strategies and frameworks to ensure the product meets all operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand scope and designing test strategies.
  • Validate application and services to ensure the product meets all operational standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse group of lean/agile software test engineers.
  • Work with product owners across the businesses to understand the product scope, needs & vision; quickly translate those into demonstrable test validation criteria.
  • Work directly with customers to understand testing needs of business and technical needs.
  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.
  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities.
  • Support in Senior Leadership reporting by providing metrics.
  • Communicate effectively both within immediate team and Wabtec leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
  • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience OR Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a testing leadership / management role.
  • Lead and mentor team effectively. Able to perform performance reviews.
  • Establishes vision, Identifies and champions internal/external best practices, tools, and ideas to improve execution and quality.
  • Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications.
  • Good understanding of test automation using Selenium, REST assured, and other automation tools in a SAFe/Agile environment.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation and deployment process.
  • Understanding with testing REST APIs using apps such as Postman and Java packages such as REST assured.
  • Experience with any issue-tracking and agile project management tools such as Rally, xWiki, HP ALM etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies in AWS.
