Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Manager to lead our data platform strategy, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for our data platform to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define priorities and solve complex challenges.
  • Design end-to-end data pipelines leveraging AWS services, such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker.
  • Implement data product storage, processing, and APIs using serverless architectures.
  • Architect multi-tenant, domain-oriented data lakes and integrate with Redshift Spectrum / Athena for distributed querying.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Drive platform governance, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Big data and Analytics ecosystem (Airflow, Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
