Director of Cost Engineering Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Cost Engineering to lead our cost engineering track for the casting category.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of different casting processes (Sand Casting, HPDC, LPDC, GDC, Investment Casting, Permanent Mold costing, etc.) and be able to drive accuracy and efficiency in our casting module.

This senior-level role will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive cost engineering strategy for the casting category, addressing multiple casting methods and industry requirements.

The successful candidate will also lead client engagements for accurate and timely delivery of client initiatives and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cost engineering strategy for the casting category.
  • Lead a global team of cost engineers and provide mentorship and technical direction.
  • Ensure delivery of accurate, detailed costing analyses and actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Lead client engagements for accurate and timely delivery of client initiatives and programs.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring expertise across multiple industry segments in cost engineering and casting processes, as well as shop floor experience. They should understand cost estimation methodologies and calculations for the casting category, macro and micro-economic factors, and supply chain dynamics impacting the casting industry.

A strong understanding of data-driven insights is essential to make informed decisions.

They must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
