Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the broking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and other relevant documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Budgeting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Auditing: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Professional Qualifications: CA or Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a stock broking / financial services company).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines; hands-on experience with accounting software; proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
