System Optimization Specialist

As a System Optimization Specialist for End User Computing, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our email communication systems, ensuring security and compliance, and supporting our Microsoft 365 services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Exchange Online, including mailbox management, distribution groups, and transport rules to improve overall system efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and licenses to ensure seamless access and functionality.
  • Implement and manage email archiving and retention policies to meet stringent compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to implement future-state Exchange environment.
  • Provide expert problem resolution, root cause analysis, and documentation of messaging related issues.
Collaboration and Integration:
  • Work closely with global administrators to manage retention policy between user and shared mailboxes.
  • Collaborate with the security team to integrate advanced email security, threat detection, and data loss prevention solutions.
Technical Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of Exchange architecture and its components.
  • Experience with Exchange 2010, 2013, and 2016 versions.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2012 and 2016 operating systems.
  • Design, administration, and support experience with Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online environments.
  • Experience with migrations from Exchange On Premise to Exchange Online.
  • Troubleshooting skills with Exchange Transport and Client Access protocols.
  • Experience with devices syncing and Exchange Disaster Recovery scenarios.
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory and DNS principles.
