As an HR Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR team in various activities, including Recruitment, Onboarding, Data Management, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and other HR initiatives.

You will report to the Senior Manager - Human Resources and partner with School Leaders to define staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition: Partner with School Leaders to identify staffing needs, manage end-to-end hiring processes, track recruitment metrics, and collaborate with the Director of Schools and Senior Manager – HR to develop proactive recruitment plans.
  • HR Operations, Data & Compliance: Oversee all HR operations for Nagpur schools, ensure statutory compliance, support internal audits, and maintain updated HR MIS and personnel records.
  • People Engagement & Culture: Serve as a key HR partner to all schools in Nagpur, address team-level concerns, people issues, and morale challenges, promote a positive work environment, and facilitate conversations around team culture.
  • Policies, Processes & Communication: Ensure timely execution of HR policies and processes, communicate HR policies effectively, support the contextualization of HR initiatives to school environments, and maintain standardization.
  • Team Management & Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage, mentor, and build the capacity of HR team members, actively contribute to HR team priorities beyond the city, and collaborate closely with the larger HR team to improve systems and foster alignment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant HR roles, proven experience in hiring and HR data management, and experience in development and non-profit sectors preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology.
