Senior Economist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in economics and research analysis, specializing in advanced econometric modeling to forecast future trends and risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain sophisticated econometric models using large data sets and econometric techniques.
  • Analyze macroeconomic data to identify economic trends and themes, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Monitor global economic developments and assess their impact on markets, enabling proactive risk management strategies.
  • Produce high-quality research commentary to accompany data analysis, highlighting market drivers and potential opportunities.
  • Work on projects related to the Indian market, conducting secondary research as needed to inform business development initiatives.
  • Support stakeholders by handling ad hoc requests and providing tailored research solutions.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Economics or a related field, with a strong foundation in quantitative methods and analytical tools.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Economic Analyst or Macro Strategist, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality research products.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and VBA, with knowledge of econometrics and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R programming languages is highly desirable, enabling efficient data analysis and modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with database tools such as Macrobond and CEIC, facilitating seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Prior experience in macro research or equity research is highly beneficial, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics and trends.
