Food and Beverage Runner Job Description

The role of a Food and Beverage Runner is integral to the smooth operation of any hospitality establishment. These professionals are responsible for delivering food and drinks from the kitchen or bar to guests in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering food and beverage orders from the kitchen or bar to guests quickly and accurately.
  • Ensuring orders are complete, correctly presented, and meet quality standards before serving.
  • Assisting servers with table maintenance, including clearing used dishes and resetting tables.
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, and delivery trays.
  • Responding promptly to guest requests and relaying special instructions to the appropriate team members.
