Data Engineering Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using AWS and Python. This includes working with Big Data technologies, such as Spark Dataframes, and optimizing spark jobs that process huge volumes of data.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • AWS Experience: Hands-on experience in Amazon's Analytics services like Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, AWS Glue is required.
  • Compute Services: Familiarity with Amazon Lambda, Amazon EC2 and Amazon's Storage service like S3 is necessary.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python is essential.
  • Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of columnar storage formats- Parquet,Avro,ORC and compression techniques – Snappy, Gzip is required.
  • Datawarehousing Concepts: Good understanding of datawarehousing concepts, including dimensions, facts, schemas- snowflake, star etc. is desired.
  • Database Systems: Familiarity with AWS databases (atleast one) Aurora, RDS, Redshift, ElastiCache, DynamoDB is preferred.
