Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Snowflake Architect / Data Engineering Lead with deep technical expertise in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and cloud data engineering. The ideal candidate should have 13+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years in data integration, ELT/ETL, and data warehouse architecture. This role involves designing and developing scalable data pipelines, leading technical discussions, optimizing data solutions, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities :


- Architect, design, and implement Snowflake-based data solutions

- Use SnowSQL CLI, Snowpipe, custom functions, and stored procedures to build scalable solutions

- Apply dimensional modeling and schema design best practices (Star and Snowflake schemas)

- Develop and maintain DBT-based data pipelines (CLI and Cloud)

- Manage DBTGitHubSnowflake CI/CD integrations and data orchestration

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for high-volume data processing

- Conduct performance tuning, resource monitoring, query optimization, and warehouse sizing

- Implement data governance, quality checks, and operational controls in pipeline design

- Troubleshoot data issues and production bugs; develop robust audit and automation scripts

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to align with modern CI/CD and Agile/Scrum practices

- Guide and support junior team members, conduct code reviews, and lead best practice adoption

- Communicate with client architects and technical stakeholders to drive solution architecture

Mandatory Skills :

- 13+ years of overall IT experience

- 7+ years in data integration, ETL/ELT, and data warehouse development

- Deep expertise in Snowflake, including: SnowSQL CLI, Snowpipe, Stored procedures, Task orchestration, Resource monitors, zero-copy clone, time travel

- Strong experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) CLI & Cloud

- Proficiency in Advanced SQL complex queries, window functions, dynamic SQL

- Experience with data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and performance optimization

- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and GitHub integration

- Experience in data quality, governance, and audit mechanisms

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with retail industry data

- Knowledge of role-based access controls and data security best practices

- Exposure to DevOps practices and automation in data platforms

- Strong background in data platform architecture and cloud-native solutions

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
