Job Title: Frontend Engineer

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced software developer to join our team as a Frontend Engineer.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong web development skills using HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, and React.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing high-quality software that meets requirements and promotes re-use of software components.
  • Diagnosing and implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements in Engineering practices.
  • Providing input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials, and customer training.
  • Conducting unit tests, tracking problems, and implementing changes to ensure adherence to test plan and functional/nonfunctional requirements.
  • Implementing software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability.
  • Creating high-fidelity estimates of work efforts.
  • Applying good debugging and troubleshoot techniques to understand and resolve defects found in software.
  • Developing and improving test-driven development while producing software.
  • Practicing Agile development principles with Scrum.
  • Using and trying to improve Agile tools being used in the development.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Japanese language (spoken and written) is preferred.
