Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high quality of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of our applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage. Additionally, you will collaborate on sprint planning and daily stand-ups to provide updates on testing progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements and product specifications.
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Bug Identification & Reporting:
    • Identify, document, and report defects using an issue tracking system.
    • Provide detailed defect descriptions and steps to reproduce for the development team.
    • Re-test fixed defects to confirm resolution.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
    • Actively participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, providing updates on testing progress.
  • Test Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain and update test cases, test scripts, and test documentation to ensure proper tracking of testing efforts.
    • Prepare regular test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Provide feedback on processes and workflows to improve the overall quality assurance process.
    • Stay updated with the latest QA practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven experience in manual and automation testing, ideally more than 3 years in a similar QA role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in writing detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and different testing methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
