Job Overview

The role of an IPC Author involves the creation, revision and modification of Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) for various Airbus models.

  • Awareness of Airbus standards, tools and processes is essential.
  • Understanding and adhering to impact analysis is necessary to create content that meets change requests.
  • Experience in working on SAP PCS for authoring IPC/configuration management/criteria analysis is required.
  • Independently working on project details, supplier drawings and technical specifications for customers is a key aspect of this role.
  • Performing technical analysis of modifications/configuration management is crucial.
  • Structuring information in an efficient manner is vital.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is necessary.
  • Creation/revision of Illustrated Parts Catalogue as per Ispec2200 standards is a key responsibility.
  • Preparation of mockups for illustrators is also required.
  • Quality procedures defined in the quality system must be adhered to.
  • Regular reporting to Project Leaders is necessary to anticipate project deviations, progress and internal/external problems.
  • Proactive coordination with customers is essential.
