Process Optimization Specialist

As a key member of our Process Engineering team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on process performance. This role involves working with the extended team to improve plant performance, focusing on key aspects such as safety, reliability, energy efficiency, yield improvement, and capacity expansion. Your primary accountability will be to provide technical content support for your designated technology or theme area. You will perform regular audits of technical content and unit performance KPIs to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering, with proven experience in a chemical complex or refining facility. They will possess knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: continuous catalytic cracking, platforming, hydro processing, or distillation. The ideal candidate will also have experience using industry-standard process simulation software and problem-solving techniques to resolve design and engineering issues. Additionally, they will have strong collaboration competencies, the ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Providing technical support to OSEs and CSEs assigned to physical assets.
  • Auditing and supporting technical content development and other unit performance KPIs.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technology-specific knowledge through LFI, technical networks, etc.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in unit capacity, yield, availability, and utilization.
