Digital Design Expert - FPGA Engineer

About the Role:

At SAMTEL AVIONICS LTD., we are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer - Digital Design Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing cutting-edge digital designs for our FPGA-based projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RTL code for FPGA-based digital designs, working from specification to system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and diagnostics) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement block-level RTL, perform synthesis, and achieve timing closure.
  • Work with Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi FPGAs, and leverage tools like Modelsim, Questasim, Xilinx Vivado, and Planahead.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of appropriate coding styles for FPGAs and trade-offs for area and speed.
  • Implement designs with multiple clock domains and experience with interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, transceivers, DDR, ADC, DAC, AMBA-AXI, SRAM, USB, UART, I2C, SPI, memory controllers, UART, and more.
  • FPGA debugging and HW/SW integration.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with FPGA-based projects, including successful completion.
  • Proficiency in HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL, and System Verilog).
  • Experience with designing Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi FPGAs and familiarity with tools like Modelsim, Questasim, Xilinx Vivado, Planahead, and Altera Quartus.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools like Chipscope, Signal Tap, Logic analyzer, Scope, and FPGA editor.
  • Experience with RTL implementation and interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, transceivers, DDR, ADC, DAC, AMBA-AXI, SRAM, USB, UART, I2C, SPI, memory controllers, UART, and more.
  • Education: UG/Pg in Electronics.
  • Key Skills: RTL design, VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, UVM, FPGA, System integration, and Debugging.
