Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on multi-unit clients.

The Role

This is a fully remote position, requiring the ability to work independently and manage multiple clients across various locations.

You will be responsible for running clean books at the location and consolidated levels, ensuring timely period closes, and delivering unit economics that owners can use to make decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Own daily posting and month-end close for multiple locations; maintain standardized chart of accounts by brand.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank/credit card/merchant accounts and third-party delivery or marketplace deposits (e.g. DoorDash/Uber Eats, Shopify/Amazon) including fees/chargebacks.
  • Cash Flow Management: Match POS sales to deposits and resolve over/short cash variances.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online (classes/locations, bank rules, recurring journals); Xero a plus.
  • Hands-on with at least one POS listed above and marketplace/aggregator reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP basics, sales tax, payroll journal entries, and multi-state nuances.

Personal Qualities

  • Detail-obsessed, organized, and comfortable owning deadlines across multiple clients.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
