Job Title - Policy Development Manager

A challenging opportunity has emerged for a seasoned professional to assume the role of Policy Development Manager. The ideal candidate will be a curious and adept problem solver with excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and experience in managing relationships with industry associations and advocacy platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and government stakeholders to advance policy objectives.
  • Lead advocacy and representation efforts across industry associations, think tanks, and other collective forums to strengthen positions in sectoral policy debates.
  • Proactively identify new and emerging policy issues and develop well-researched policy positions and recommendations to address them effectively.
  • Engage with think tanks, civil society organizations, and academia to shape important policy developments.
  • Advise internal teams on regulatory implications while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's level degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, or International Affairs.
  • Minimum 3 to 6 years' experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, or in corporate public policy.
  • Strong experience in relationship management with industry associations and advocacy platforms.
  • Ability to review and evaluate legislation and technical policy documents.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of telecom, technology, data privacy frameworks, and laws impacting digital businesses.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team across multiple tasks and locations.
