Data Acquisition and Ingestion:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to manage our existing data pipelines and create new ones following best practices. The ideal candidate will monitor data ingestion through Change Data Capture and analyze failed batch jobs to ensure data capture. They will also maintain technical documentation and a centralized data dictionary.

Data Extraction and Cleaning:

The successful candidate will extract data from sources, clean and ingest it into a big data platform. They will automate data cleaning, handle missing data, and resolve inconsistencies. Data quality checks will be performed for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, believability, and interpretability.

Data Integration, Aggregation, and Representation:

We are looking for a candidate who can expose data views or models to reporting and source systems using Hive or Impala. They will also expose cleansed data to the Artificial Intelligence team for building data science models.

Informatica Data Catalog:

The ideal candidate will implement and configure the Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog solution to discover and catalog data assets. They will develop and maintain custom metadata scanners, resource configurations, and lineage extraction processes. The candidate will also integrate EDC with other Informatica tools and define data classification, profiling, and quality rules.

Requirements:

  • Certified Big Data Engineer from Cloudera/AWS/Azure
  • Expertise in Big Data querying tools, such as Hive, HBase, and Impala
  • Strong Experience in Spark using Python/Scala
  • Expertise in messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Hands-on experience in Hadoop cluster management
  • Implementation of ETL processes using Sqoop/Spark
  • Ability to design solutions independently based on high-level architecture
  • Collaboration with other development teams
  • Expertise in building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Spark-Streaming, Apache NIFI, and KAFKA
  • Expertise with NoSQL databases, such as HBase
  • Experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog implementation and administration
  • Strong knowledge of data management, data governance, and metadata management concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with various databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
