Job Description:

As a skilled Digital Content Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our online presence and engagement across various social media platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our editorial goals.

Key responsibilities include curating, creating, and scheduling engaging content across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. You will collaborate closely with the editorial team to repurpose and promote news articles, opinion pieces, interviews, features, and multimedia content relevant to Karnataka's current affairs, politics, education, careers, culture.

Audience Engagement is also a critical aspect of this role. You will monitor social media channels for trending topics, breaking news, and reader engagement. Responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner is essential. Foster a community around our social media presence by encouraging reader interaction, participation in polls, discussions, and feedback.

Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and traffic to the website. Prepare regular reports on social media performance and provide actionable insights to the editorial team. Use data-driven approaches to optimize content and posting strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the news/media or education industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
