Java Developer for Cloud Data Solutions

Job Description
We are seeking a Java Technical Specialist to join our team in Pune. As a full-time professional, you will work on developing new features in our products and ensuring high-quality and maintainable code. You will also mentor junior engineers on design, coding, and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have 6+ years of experience in coding with proficiency in any one programming language (like Java, Scala, Groovy, Python, Kotlin, Typescript, Javascript) or the J2EE technology stack. You should also be strong in collections and basic/standard algorithms, and have a keen interest in data structures. Additionally, you should have strong problem-solving skills and an attitude to getting stuff done.
It would be nice to have experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting memory issues, GC tuning, resource leaks, etc., as well as agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban. You should also have good understanding of branching, build, deployment, continuous integration methodologies, and experience in leading a small team and mentoring other engineers. Ability to make decisions independently is also a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include practicing TDD as your primary way of doing software development, constantly developing new features in our products, continuously refactoring code to ensure high-quality and maintainable code, using 'Clean Code' principles while writing and changing code, mentoring junior engineers on design, coding, and troubleshooting, using Domain Driven Design (DDD) in your daily functioning at work, performance engineering of slow and resource intensive code, spending time on critical build engineering and developer productivity engineering activities, carving out new reusable modules whenever the opportunity arises, understanding large data warehouses better than any functional/business expert of any data warehouse, making optimization recommendations by discovering common access patterns within large data warehouses, suggesting performance improvement opportunities by discovering redundant processing within different areas of a data warehouse, enabling metadata discovery by figuring out how data moves between clusters of thousands of tables and views, helping business users discover interesting/reusable data from among thousands and thousands of possible candidate tables, assessing impact of changes/outages within one section of a data warehouse and how those changes affect other parts, creating strategies on how to migrate one data warehouse to others (such as cloud data warehouses), and showing beautiful and powerful visualizations of data and execution lineage to business/IT users.

The estimated salary for this position is ₹20 lakhs per annum, depending on location and experience.
