Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Specialist to support financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions. In this role, you will:
- Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
- Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports
- Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports
- Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
- Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company's internal control policies
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ months of advanced SQL & Alteryx developer working experience.
- Knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management System), like Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL server.
- Experience in Data Management life cycle, including data analysis, data profiling, data acquisition and data quality principles.
- Knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, process, and tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills
- Ability to create reporting from databases and data-marts.
- Build Various dashboards in Power BI with SQL as the back-end data.
- Support data migrations, system transitions, data-mapping, data lineage, data reconciliation and documentation in alignment to policy and governance
- Consult with stakeholders to understand their business, automation, turn them into viable solutions which improve their ability to support their clients globally.
- BI: experience with creating visualizations. Dashboarding experience involving multiple views that all respond to navigation/filter/etc. Ability to publish that can be reused for across dashboards/workbooks and used for self-service by other analysts working on the same domain (and/or, to reuse cube created by others where expedient).
- SQL: access, combine, calculate. Create temp tables. Structure data for common BI needs such as drilling or side-by-side comparison
- Documentation skills. Requirements, query documentation, testing
