About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank.

This role involves providing support for financial accounting related matters, reviewing activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, and gathering financial data for financial and regulatory reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions.
  • Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reports.
  • Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports.
  • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports, and various financial systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting, or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of advanced SQL & Alteryx developer working experience.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management System), like Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL server.
  • Experience in Data Management life cycle, including data analysis, data profiling, data acquisition, and data quality principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, process, and tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills.
  • Ability to create reporting from databases and data-marts.
  • Build Various dashboards in Power BI with SQL as the back-end data.
  • Support data migrations, system transitions, data-mapping, data lineage, data reconciliation, and documentation in alignment to policy and governance.
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand their business, automation, turn them into viable solutions which improve their ability to support their clients globally.
  • BI: experience with creating visualizations, dashboarding experience involving multiple views that all respond to navigation/filter/etc.
  • SQL: access, combine, calculate, create temp tables, structure data for common BI needs such as drilling or side-by-side comparison.
