Job Title: Power Systems Expert

We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Expert to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a vital role in designing and developing electrification solutions for various industries.

About the Job
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global team on high-profile projects that involve system integration for Marine, Offshore, Onshore, and Process Industry.
  • You will be responsible for performing power system calculations and simulations, electrical design of equipment/systems, writing technical specifications, and testing.
  • Your contributions will help develop Electrification Solutions that are part of our comprehensive Electrification, Automation, and Digital offerings.
  • As a Power Systems Expert, you will design and optimize power system solutions for various applications based on customer segment requirements.
  • You will interact regularly with international teams and customers with diverse backgrounds.
Your Responsibilities
  • Electric Power System Development: Design power delivery and control solutions as per architectures for specific segments ensuring reliability, availability, and expandability.
  • Electric Power System Studies and Modeling: Develop integrated power system and control models and perform offline studies and real-time simulations to validate design concepts and predict system behavior.
  • Performance Analysis: Collaborate with the team to analyze performance data to enhance power system design efficiency and reliability.
  • Cross-team Engagement: Work with cross-functional local and global teams to integrate power system design with control solutions and standardize approaches for different architectures or variants.
  • Compliance to Standards: Ensure designs adhere to industrial and international standards with inherent best practices.
  • Innovative Approaches: Drive innovation based on latest technological advancements in AC/DC power systems and control, applying out-of-the-box thinking.
About You
  • You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge.
  • You have hands-on experience in electrification solutions and power system studies, including load flow studies, short circuit calculations, and dynamic simulations.
  • You possess sound knowledge of electrical power system design, modeling, control, stability, and protection.
  • You have strong technical knowledge of power equipment like generators, switchgears, transformers, BESS, Hydrogen fuel cells, Hydrogen Electrolysers, reactive power compensation, power electronics, control systems, embedded systems.
  • You are proficient in relevant international standards for electrical power system design and digital communications such as IEC 61850.
  • You have proficiency in one or more power system simulation tools like Matlab Simulink, PSCAD, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, PSS/E, EMTP, and Sincal.
  • You are familiar with Hardware-in-loop (HIL) simulation tools like Opal RT, dSPACE, and RTDS.
  • You have programming skills in languages like Python, C/C++.
  • You excel in problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and technical presentations.
  • You can work independently and collaborate with cross-cultural & cross-functional teams in a global setup.
