We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services Limited. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining our Linux installed systems.
The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience as a Linux administrator and possess excellent technical skills, including the ability to install, upgrade, and maintain Linux-based systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security of systems and data, managing system backups, restore, and recovery, as well as managing user accounts, groups, and services.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, and SuSE.
- Perform continuous testing of new Linux versions and applications on an on-demand basis.
- Assist with user management, such as creating accounts for new hires and training seasoned professionals on company policies.
- Maintain server uptime and network performance.
- Document all server incidents and outages.
