Job Summary

A Compliance Analyst is responsible for executing fieldwork and testing of core responsibilities across various laws. They design overall testing programs, assess risks independently, communicate progress, and lead conversations with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute fieldwork and testing of a core responsibility across laws – AML, Privacy, Anti-corruption, Consumer Protection & Fairness, etc.
  • Design overall testing program and assess risks independently during alignment stages (issue classification & reporting).
  • Communicate progress and potential findings regularly to Manager Compliance Testing Team.
  • Lead conversations with senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs) during kick offs, testing, and issue alignment discussions with minimal managerial support.
  • Train and mentor colleagues in upskilling knowledge and practices relevant to plan delivery.
  • Work with Compliance leadership on strategic initiatives to improve delivery model and contribute/participate in presentations to senior leadership.
  • Develop remediation plans to address findings and detect emerging regulatory risks or impending legislation affecting Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Exemplify strength in the American Express Leadership Model: set agenda, bring others with you, and do it the right way, and put enterprise thinking first.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance within Big Four or bank/financial institution with Anti-Money Laundering background.
  • Academic Background Good academic qualification with experience in compliance or legal with Anti-Money Laundering knowledge would be an added advantage.
  • Chartered Accounts, CPA, CIA, ACAMS, MBA and individuals with certifications in audit would be preferred.
