Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Storage and Backup Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing resilient storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across hybrid infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have expertise in planning and architecture of DR, backup, and storage strategies that span on-prem and cloud environments. They will work closely with infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to align backup and storage goals with business continuity and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and architecture of DR, backup, and storage strategies that span on-prem (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud (Azure, Azure Stack HCI) environments.
  • Develop long-term strategies for capacity management, data lifecycle policies, and disaster recovery across hybrid platforms.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to align backup and storage goals with business continuity and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Must Haves:
  • Relevant licenses or certifications.
  • At least 10-12 years of experience, out of which:
  • At least three (3) years experience as a Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer working with 24x7 critical systems following ITIL framework and in projects, working with stakeholders following structured methods.
  • At least three (3) years experience with on-prem, hybrid and cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI and Azure Cloud).
  • At least three (3) years system administration experience (Linux/Unix or Windows) at the command-line level.
  • Experience configuring Wasabi cloud storage for long-term archival, immutable backup repositories, and integration with tools such as Veeam and Azure.
  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting storage servers and management software, including Veeam and Wasabi.
  • Experience automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and managing hybrid environments with Azure Arc.
