Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a seasoned professional, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Utilize your expertise to design and build scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• AWS Service Expertise: Proficient in a wide range of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer, and others.
• ECS/EKS Cluster Management: Experienced in setting up ECS/EKS clusters, configuring deployments, and implementing performance-based scaling to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Terraform and CloudFormation Automation: Skilled in automating infrastructure setup using Terraform and CloudFormation, streamlining deployment processes and reducing errors.
• Environment Setup and Configuration: Experience in setting up new environments based on specific requirements and industry best practices, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM): Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, including configuring roles, policies, and user groups to ensure secure access and permissions management.
• RDS Database Management: Experience in setting up RDS databases (MySQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and managing intranet user access, ensuring data security and integrity.
• Network Configuration and Security: Specialized knowledge in network configurations using services such as VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Route 53, WAF, etc., to ensure robust security and compliance.
• DevOps and CI/CD Processes: Experience in DevOps and CI/CD processes, proficient with Bitbucket/GitHub for pipeline creation and familiar with ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira.
• Cost Analysis and Optimization: Strong background in cost analysis and resource optimization, knowledgeable in using Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, and tagging for granular cost insights.
• AMI Upgrades and Patch Management: Experience with AMI upgrades, patch application, and maintenance window management to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
• Monitoring and Performance Metrics: Skilled in monitoring AWS environments using tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and others, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Cloud Architecture and Security Guidelines: Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices and security guidelines to ensure robust security and compliance.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Experience in documenting SOPs, creating knowledge bases, and maintaining technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer, and others.
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for automation and infrastructure setup.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes, including Bitbucket/GitHub and ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices and security guidelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
