Senior System Administrator Job

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and maintain our organization's systems, infrastructure, and networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective resolution of end-user issues
  • Provisioning and system setup for new hires
  • Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes
  • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components throughout various network infrastructure devices
  • Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up-to-date
  • Server administration via Active Directory, File and Print services, DNS, and DHCP
  • Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues
  • Ensuring company safety and security standards are met
  • Network and server solution design and architecture
  • Migrating on-premises servers and IT infrastructure to the cloud
  • Enabling and using advanced tools and processes to provide cybersecurity protection to the client's IT infrastructure
  • Provide L1 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and servers across Windows & Linux platforms
  • Ensure seamless functioning of classroom IT systems including projectors, smartboards, audio systems, etc.
  • Support and maintain LMS (Learning Management System) platforms; coordinate with academic departments for smooth usage
  • Assist in user account management, email setup, software installation, and IT troubleshooting
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verify integrity, and availability of hardware/software resources
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting; hands-on support for routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco preferred)
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 support teams for escalation and resolution of complex issues
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of assets, licenses, and configurations
