Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking professional to lead the development of innovative software solutions in financial services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in full-stack development using Java, Angular, HTML, and JavaScript, as well as expertise in leading or working on products from architectural design to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.
  • Manages the entire software development lifecycle, including testing, implementation, and auditing.
  • Performs product design, bug verification, and beta support, which may require research and analysis.
  • Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
  • Leads and manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • Identifies and allocates technical resources, such as programmers and business analysts, to client projects within Development.
  • Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
  • Maximizes utilization and profitability of assigned team members' billable time.
  • Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Adheres to departmental application development and client delivery process standards.
  • Provides input on product direction to product managers.
  • Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures proper application of technology.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in software development roles using Java, Angular, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience in full-stack development.
  • Experience in working on large-scale, client-facing, enterprise production software.
  • Recent experience leading or working on products from architectural design to production while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence and processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment where production code is delivered at the end of each sprint.
  • Knowledge of FIS products and services.
  • Skill in project management, organization, communications, analytical, and people skills.
  • Skill in leading, supervising, and managing effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to interact with executive-level clients.
  • Ability to analyze clients' business needs and determine related information services support.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and problem areas.
  • Ability to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate.
  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
